Higher incidence associated with age, race, BMI, alcohol use, and smoking

Age, race, body mass index, alcohol use, and cigarette smoking are associated with increased incidence of endometriosis, according to an analysis of data from the Nurses' Health Study II prospective cohort. S.A. Missmer and colleagues, Brigham and Women's Hospital, Massachusetts, used data from the study to determine relationships among demographic, anthropometric, and lifestyle factors with endometriosis.
