Biomarker expression correlates with 80% recurrence rate in retrospective study

TriPath Imaging, Inc. (Nasdaq: TPTH) announced that data generated from in-house studies of the company's proprietary breast cancer biomarkers demonstrate a strong correlation between biomarker expression and recurrence of breast cancer in archived breast tissue samples from a retrospective cohort of patients with early stage breast cancer. The results of in-house research and case studies prepared by an independent investigator were presented December 8, 2004, at the 27th Annual San Antonio Breast Cancer Symposium and at a TriPath Imaging-sponsored symposium held in San Antonio.
