Pharmaceutical company to file new drug application for breast cancer drug

Tapestry Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (TPPH) announced that it is on schedule to file an investigational new drug application (IND) for taxane, TPI 287, prior to year-end 2004. All toxicology and pharmacology testing required for beginning clinical trials for TPI 287 is being completed and GMP material is in the process of being manufactured on a scale sufficient to provide drug for phase 1 investigation. Tapestry also announced that the projected filing of the IND for its second internally developed compound, a novel quassinoid, TPI 273, will be moved to the first half of 2005, pending the results of additional animal testing for potency and safety. ...
