Papers emphasize embryo cryopreservation in defining standard of ART success

Specialists recently addressed the issue of relevant standards of successful assisted reproduction techniques in two papers in the journal Human Reproduction. Both sets of authors emphasized the importance of embryo cryopreservation. In one article, M. Germond and colleagues, CHU Vaudois, Lausanne, Switzerland, wrote, "National and international registries are essential tools for establishing new standards and comparing success rates, but they do not take into account the total pregnancy/delivery rate per oocyte recovery.
