MammaPrint has successfully reached level 3 in evidence-based medicine

Agendia, a genomics company based in Amsterdam the Netherlands, working in close collaboration with the Transbig translational research network, announced at the San Antonio Breast Cancer conference that the 70-gene expression signature (MammaPrint) outperformed all currently-used standard diagnostic criteria in predicting future development of distant metastases and overall survival in a large breast cancer study. The international validation project was led by Transbig. The data analysis was carried out independently by a statistical team in Belgium.
