Study finds fear scale specific to breast cancer is a valid tool

Statistical analyses indicate a fear scale that is specific to breast cancer is a valid psychometric tool. "Fear of breast cancer has been inversely associated with participation in screening. However, investigators have generally used only one item or global scales to measure fear," said V.L. Champion and colleagues.
