BRCA1 mutation prevalence in ovarian tumors is low in Norway

A study from Norway reports a low prevalence of the BRCA1 mutation in ovarian tumors among women listed in a population-based cancer registry there and the general population.

The researchers also determined that CA 125 is not a sensitive tool for ovarian cancer screening.
