Healthcare registries are better measure of pregnancy-associated deaths

According to published research from Finland, "To find maternal and pregnancy-related deaths, it is important that all pregnancy-associated deaths are identified." M. Gissler and colleagues at Finland's National Research & Development Center for Welfare & Health, STAKES Information Division, Helsinki, "[examined] the effect of data linkages between national healthcare registers and complete death certificate data on pregnancy-associated deaths."
