Diagnostic, treatment center for immune disorders opens in Pennsylvania

A new diagnosis and treatment center for primary immunodeficiencies (PI), an umbrella term for more than 100 genetic defects, opened at The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP).

The hospital offers parents and children new hope for dealing with serious, life-threatening immune disorders that often masquerade as a simple childhood illnesses.

The facility is 1 of only 17 diagnostics centers worldwide recognized by the Jeffrey Modell Foundation for its excellence in patient care and research into these complex disorders. Funding for this center is provided by ZLB Behring (a CSL Limited Company), a leader in the plasma protein biotherapeutics...
