Chemotherapy and long-term outcome compared between lobular and ductal disease

Response to primary chemotherapy isn't as positive in cases of invasive lobular carcinoma as in invasive ductal carcinoma, but long-term outcomes are better, indicate study data. M. Cristofanilli, of the University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, and colleagues studied "the impact of histologic type invasive lobular carcinoma (ILC) versus invasive ductal carcinoma (IDC) on response to primary chemotherapy (PC) and long-term outcome."
