Oncologist awarded Komen Breast Cancer Foundation Professor of Survivorship

The Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation recently awarded the Professor of Survivorship to Charles Loprinzi, MD, a Mayo Clinic medical oncologist. The award recognizes Loprinzi's more than 15 years of research on key concerns of breast cancer survivors. Loprinzi has earned recognition for his extensive research into minimizing the long-term impact breast cancer and other cancers have on a patient's quality of life and what can be done to lessen those effects. His research has explored areas such as how to treat hot flashes more effectively and the use of complementary and alternative medicines in women experiencing side effects from breast cancer...
