Increased plasminogen activator inhibitor-1 expression correlates with worse survival and disease relapse in cervical cancer patients, pathologists report. "Cervical carcinoma is a human papillomavirus (HPV)-related immunogenic type of malignancy, in which escape of the tumor from the hosts' immune response is thought to play an important role in carcinogenesis," wrote S.
