Cardiovascular benefit from alcohol slightly higher for women than men

Women see a slightly higher health benefit over men from alcohol consumption according to 12 separate studies reviewed in the January 2005 issue of the Journal of Thrombosis and Haemostasis. More studies are needed, however, to determine if there are more significant results from either wine, other spirits, or beer.
