Prognostic value of intra-tumoral estradiol level determined

The prognostic value of intra-tumor estradiol (E2) level has been determined in breast cancer patients. Although the intra-tumoral E2 level "is thought to be more closely related to the E2-inducible events such as progesterone receptor (PR) induction and tumor growth than the serum E2 level, prognostic significance of the intra-tumoral E2 level in breast cancer patients has yet to be studied," according to oncologists in Japan.
