MIB1 index useful as marker of chemotherapy response

The MIB1 index can be used to assess the response to chemotherapy in breast cancer patients. In a recent study, scientists in the United States "determined the extent of variation in proliferative markers and hormone receptor status in breast carcinoma between core biopsies and subsequent resections, and determined the impact of clinical and histologic parameters on such variation."
