Mammography equipment provider to supply Chinese breast cancer screening project

Planmed Oy has won an international tender in China and will supply 100-130 mammography units and several stereotactic biopsy devices for a breast screening project that will cover one million Chinese women. The Chinese Ministry of Health, the Chinese Anti-Cancer Association, and several Chinese hospitals are launching a unique and extensive breast cancer screening project that will last from 4 to 6 years and screen one million Chinese women. The project is a pioneering one, and the first attempt to use large-scale screening for gathering data on the breast cancer situation in China.
