Newborn and maternal fetal physician services company expands reach

Pediatrix Medical Group, Inc., (NYSE: PDX) announced the expansion of its national group practice to include management of the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) at Central California Children's Hospital in Madera, California. Pediatrix acquired neonatal physician practices that staff the level III NICU at Central California Children's Hospital, as well as two hospitals with level II NICUs. Pediatrix expects volume of approximately 8,500 annual patient days provided by these physicians.
