Long-term efficacy of insulin 70/30 mix in type 2 diabetes shown in study

Patients with type 2 diabetes showed reduced incidences of major hypoglycemia when using Novolog Mix 70/30 (70% insulin aspart protamine suspension and 30% insulin aspart injection, [rDNA origin]) versus biphasic human insulin 30 (Novolin 70/30, 70% NPH, human insulin isophane suspension and 30% regular, human insulin injection [rDNA origin]).

The findings are part of a 2-year head-to-head study published in the European Journal of Internal Medicine.
