Vinegar eases cancer screening in developing countries

An easy, inexpensive method using ordinary vinegar in screening women for cervical cancer could be applied in more situations in developing countries around the world, thus increasing the number of women whose disease is caught early and treated.

This is among the key findings reported in an English-language article in the current (January 2005) issue of the Revista Panamericana de Salud Publica/Pan American Journal of Public Health, a peer-reviewed public health journal published by the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO).
