A recent report shows As2 O3 causes caspase-independent cell death in human cervical cancer cells, researchers say. According to a recent paper published in the journal Cancer Research, "Although mechanisms of arsenic trioxide (As2 O3 )-induced cell death have been studied extensively in hematologic cancers, those in solid cancers have yet to be clearly defined."
