Aneurysm organization comments on task force's recommendations

The U.S. National Aneurysm Alliance (NAA) issued a statement regarding the release of the U.S. Preventive Services Task Force's final recommendation on abdominal aortic aneurysm screening: [helv]The NAA applauds the task force's decision to recommend screening for this deadly disorder in men between the ages of 65 and 75 who have smoked at any time in their lives. Although the NAA believes that existing data strongly supports screening in other sub-populations, including women with a family history of abdominal aortic aneurysms (AAA), the task force's action is welcome news that will create an opportunity to save thousands of lives every year.[helv] ...
