A study from Australia demonstrated that neither polyphenols nor red wine reduce dyslipidemic women's risk of atherosclerosis "by acutely modulating postprandial lipemia over a 6-hour period." "Postprandial lipoproteins are potentially atherogenic. The aim of this study was to elucidate whether acute consumption of red wine (RW) and dealcoholized red wine (DRW) regulates postprandial lipid and lipoprotein metabolism in 17 dyslipidemic postmenopausal women," said M.
