Technology company announces new contract for CAD systems for mammography

R2 Technology, Inc., announced a new contract designating R2 Technology as a provider of computer aided detection (CAD) systems as an aid to radiologists for the earlier detection of breast cancer. The company signed a 3-year, sole source contract with the FirstChoice Cooperative of Texas, a member owned purchasing cooperative. The agreement with the FirstChoice Cooperative extends through 2008 and follows a previous 3-year sole agreement designating R2 Technology as the provider of CAD systems to their member hospitals and care facilities.
