Bipolar vessel sealing does not reduce postoperative pain

Bipolar vessel sealing does not significantly reduce pain after total abdominal hysterectomy. Researchers in Germany conducted a "retrospective comparison with the suture technique" and a bipolar vessel sealing system (BVSS). The BVSS "used in abdominal hysterectomy procedures for benign bleeding disorders does not reduce postoperative pain within the first 36 hours," reported A.
