Effectiveness of pharmacy-based screening program assessed in Amsterdam

Researchers in the Netherlands investigated the effectiveness, both in terms of case detection and cost, of a pharmacy-based screening program for chlamydiosis. J.E.A.M. Van Bergen and colleagues, SoaAids Nederland, explained, "In order to increase case-detection of Chlamydia trachomatis (CT) in a multicultural, low-income and high-CT-prevalence neighborhood, a novel approach was piloted in collaboration with the pharmacy of the health center.
