Investigators in the United States, Spain and Scotland have published new obstetrics data. Study 1: Pregnancy does not increase vitamin D daily requirement. According to recent research published in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition, "Adequate vitamin D concentrations during pregnancy are necessary to ensure appropriate maternal responses to the calcium demands of the fetus and neonatal handling of calcium.
