Collaboration will focus on topical anti-HPV treatment

Collaboration between pharmaceutical companies will focus on a topical treatment of human papillomavirus. 3M Pharmaceuticals and Takeda Pharmaceutical Co. Ltd. have entered into an exclusive codevelopment and joint marketing agreement to collaborate on a potential topical treatment for human papillomavirus (HPV) infection and cervical dysplasia. The compound is currently in early stage (Phase I) clinical testing. It is part of the family of immune response modifier (IRM) molecules developed by 3M Pharmaceuticals.
