IFN gamma gene variant is associated with individual disease susceptibility

A polymorphism of the interferon gamma gene is associated with individual susceptibility to cervical cancer, according to research from Taiwan. "Beyond human papillomavirus (HPV) infection, host genetic factors may contribute to cervical carcinogenesis.
