Platelet membrane integrin polymorphism linked to premature onset of fetal loss

Hematologists at the University of Dusseldorf report that a platelet membrane integrin polymorphism is associated with premature onset of fetal loss.

"Inherited thrombophilia could increase susceptibility to adverse pregnancy outcomes such as fetal loss," said A. Gerhardt and colleagues.
