Researchers' findings advance obstetrics research

Investigators in Netherlands and Sweden have published new obstetrics data. Study 1: Amniotic fluid is the best avenue by which to study the effects of fetal hormone exposure. According to published research from Netherlands, "Levels of testosterone (T) (total and free), androstenedione (A4), dehydroepiandrosterone sulphate (DHEAS), sex hormone-binding globulin (SHBG), and estradiol (E2) were measured by radioimmunoassay (RIA) in 156 normal pregnancies (77 male and 79 female fetuses)."
