Plastic surgeons' societies launch website to help inform patients

Information regarding the safety and effectiveness of breast implants, silicone or saline-filled, has been confusing and controversial for more than a decade. To help potential patients become fully informed about implants, the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery and the American Society of Plastic Surgeons have launched an informational website, www.breastimplantsafety.org.
