Adenocarcinoma rate up, squamous cell cancer down among young Dutch women

The rate of adenocarcinoma is increasing among young women in the Netherlands, while squamous cell carcinoma rates are decreasing, pathologists reported. "Cervical cancer is a preventable disease, occurring in relatively young women. In the Netherlands, population-based cervical screening aims at women aged 30-60 years," wrote S. Bulk and colleagues, VU University, Amsterdam.
