Women's Health Study: Low-dose aspirin lowers stroke risk among older women

An analysis of data from the Women's Health Study shows that low-dose aspirin lowers postmenopausal women's risk of stroke. This finding and others by study authors Paul M. Ridker, MD, Julie E. Buring, ScD, and colleagues are scheduled for publication in the March 31, 2005, print edition of the New England Journal of Medicine, and were released online on March 7, 2005, in conjunction with their presentation at the American College of Cardiology's (ACC) annual meeting in Orlando, Florida.
