Recent findings in breast cancer provide new insights

Breast cancer research advances have been reported from the United States and Canada. Study 1: A study of U.S. women between ages 40 and 79 years found that those who believe they are a low susceptibility to breast cancer were less likely to follow mammography screening guidelines. Yale researchers conducted the study with "1,229 African American and White women ages 40 to 79 years who obtained an index mammography screening examination at one of five urban hospitals in Connecticut between October 1996 and January 1998."
