Researchers' findings advance endocrinology research

Investigators in the United States, Brazil and Sweden have published new endocrinology data. Study 1: Study results show that alcohol decreases serum insulin-like growth factor-I (IGF-I) in premenopausal women and that IGF-I, regardless of alcohol presence, significantly increases over the menstrual cycle. The findings were reported by J.A. Lavigne and colleagues at the U.S. National Cancer Institute.
