Pilot study of a new blood test for breast cancer to be launched

Biomarker Technologies LLC (Phoenix, Arizona) announced it plans to begin a pilot study of its BT Test for detecting breast cancer in the U.S. in April 2005. The BT Test is a blood diagnostic test for breast cancer. The company is conducting the pilot study to verify its prior results and make final preparations for U.S. Food and Drug Administration clinical studies. The study will be a retrospective blind test with samples from healthy participants, those with untreated breast cancer, and those from a select group of other cancer conditions in order to demonstrate the differentiation capabilities of the test. ...
