Reports add new data to osteoporosis research

Data on osteoporosis are outlined in reports from the United States, Switzerland and Netherlands. Study 1: Researchers calculated the 1-year outcomes and costs following incident vertebral fracture in patients using data for both the U.S. and Sweden. "Vertebral fractures are believed to be important predictors for future vertebral and other fractures, leading to at least a four- to five-fold increase in the risk of subsequent fractures.
