MTHFR 677T variant/low folate associated with increased risk of breast cancer

The MTHFR 677T variant allele and low dietary folate is associated with an increased risk of breast cancer. According to recent research published in the journal Cancer Research, "Accumulating evidence from epidemiologic studies suggests that risk of breast cancer is reduced in relation to increased consumption of folate and related B vitamins.
