Reports from the United States and Germany highlight recent research on cancer vaccines. Study 1: Researchers report the results of a study on the role of tumor-derived exosomes in cancer-associated T-cell signaling defects in a recent issue of the British Journal of Cancer. "Dendritic and lymphoid exosomes regulate immune activation. Tumors release membranous material mimicking these exosomes, resulting in deletion of reactive lymphocytes.
