Nonprofit alliance says class of '79 fails parenting test for drug education

The class of 1979 was the most active in the nation's history for substance abuse. Now, they are parents of middle school-age children and their own experiences as teens are making them more lackadaisical than older parents when it comes to counseling their own children about "getting high." Some 12% of them have never talked to their children about inhalant, alcohol or drug abuse.
