Reports add new data to breast cancer research

Data on breast cancer are outlined in reports from the United States and United Kingdom.

Study 1: A University of Virginia study suggests that aromatase inhibitors may be more effective for preventing breast cancer than antiestrogens (e.g., tamoxifen).

"Long-term exposure to estradiol is associated with an increased risk of breast cancer, but the mechanisms responsible are not firmly established.
