Investigators in the United States have published new breast cancer data. Study 1: A new study discusses keys to increasing testing accuracy in breast cancer, including interlaboratory standardization for estrogen receptor (ER) analysis by immunohistochemistry. "The ER is a regulator of cellular growth, proliferation, and differentiation. In addition to having prognostic value, ER is the most important biologic marker of therapeutic response in breast cancer.
