This year, more than 200,000 women and men will be diagnosed with breast cancer and more than 40,000 will lose their lives to the disease. In Washington alone, approximately 3,920 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer this year, according to American Cancer Society statistics. Seattle, Washington residents take a bold step toward a cure at the 2005 Seattle Breast Cancer 3-Day. The 3-Day offers Seattle area residents the chance to make a personal difference in the fight against breast cancer. Participants walk 60 miles over 3 days in a display of courage and commitment.
