Gene expression profiles of the endometrium during COH reported

Gene expression profiles of the endometrium during controlled ovarian hyperstimulation have been reported for the first time.

"Controlled ovarian hyperstimulation (COH) used in in vitro fertilization (IVF) produces lower implantation rates per embryo transferred compared to natural cycles utilized in ovum donation, suggesting a suboptimal endometrial development," wrote J.A. Horcajadas, of the Valencia Institute of Infertility Foundation in Valencia, Spain, and colleagues at Valencia University and at NV Organon in the Netherlands.
