Recent studies add new data to breast cancer research

Investigators in the United States have published new breast cancer data. Study 1: The presence of a polymorphism in the cyclin D1 gene appears to reduce the effect of hormonal exposure on postmenopausal breast cancer, and predicts survival, according to a study from Vanderbilt University. "Cyclin D1 (CCND1) is a key cell cycle regulatory protein that governs cell cycle progression from the G(1) to S phase.
