Researchers detail new studies and findings in the area of breast cancer

Breast cancer data are the focus of recent research from the United States. Study 1: Specialists in nuclear medicine at Yeshiva University's Albert Einstein College of Medicine report that in a mouse model of breast cancer, positron therapy with F-18-2-deoxy-2-fluoro-D-glucose significantly prolonged survival and decreased mammary tumor growth rate compared to controls. R.M. Moadel and colleagues wrote, "Novel therapies are needed for [breast cancer] patients when standard treatments are ineffective.
