Population survival model developed based on Nottingham Prognostic Model

Public health researchers in Italy reported on a population survival model of breast cancer they developed that's based on the Nottingham Prognostic Model.

They say such registry-based models can be a useful tool to evaluate quality of breast cancer interventions as well as healthcare system care.

To develop their model, F. Stracci and colleagues, University of Perugia, evaluated data on 1,452 breast cancer cases that were diagnosed in the Umbria Region of Italy during 1994-1996.
