Researchers provide details of new studies and findings in the area of breast cancer

New findings from Wales and the United States describe advances in breast cancer. Study 1: Routine preoperative lymphoscintigraphy may not always be necessary. "Sentinel node biopsy (SNB) is rapidly emerging as the preferred technique for nodal staging in breast cancer. When radioactive colloid is used, a preoperative lymphoscintiscan is obtained to case sentinel lymph node (SN) identification.
