Pharmaceutical company focused on restoring sexual function reports Q1 results

Vivus, Inc. (VVUS), a specialty pharmaceutical company focused on the research, development and commercialization of products to restore sexual function in women and men, announced its accomplishments and financial results for the 3 months ended March 31, 2005.

The quarter ended March 31, 2005 was marked by several achievements including completion of avanafil phase 2 patient enrollment. Avanafil is an investigational drug being studied for the treatment of erectile dysfunction. It is a highly selective, orally administered phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE5) inhibitor.
