Berberine, Amp B act synergistcally against disseminated infection in mice

Berberine and amphotericin B acted synergistcally against disseminated Candida albicans infection in a murine study. Y. Han and colleagues, Dongduk Women's University, Seoul, "investigated the synergic effect of berberine against disseminated candidiasis caused by the pathogenic fungus, Candida albicans." Their experiments showed "berberine inhibited the growth of C. albicans under in vitro conditions.
